FABLE 5 · HEAD-TO-HEAD REBUILD · JULY 2026

One model. Four briefs. Six builds.

Every project below was built blind from its brief — no templates, no assets, no keys. Each category shows the exact prompt it answered. Click a card to run the build live inside the page, or open it full-screen.

CATEGORY 01 — LANDING

The $100k dream site

One web build that should feel like a senior developer was paid six figures to craft it — unique, deeply interactive, WebGL. Fable chose the deepest point on Earth and made scrolling mean something: every pixel of scroll is a metre of descent.

THE BRIEF THIS ANSWERED
WORKSPACE RULES — all work goes in dream-site/fable/. Do NOT reference any other
folder (e.g. a "sol" folder). Blind head-to-head; work only from this brief.

END GOAL — a single web build launched with one command, opened in a browser.
It should look and feel like a human senior developer was paid $100,000 to craft
it: unique, dynamic, deeply engaging, aesthetically stunning. Something people
screen-record and share. It must NOT look AI-generated or vibe-coded. No generic
hero + three feature cards + footer template.

PICK YOUR OWN SUBJECT — choose something that lets you show off; the concept
should feel deliberate and original, with a real point of view.

HARD REQUIREMENTS — runs in a modern browser; genuinely interactive and 3D:
real motion, depth, and reaction to the user. WebGL/Three.js, scroll-driven scenes.

BAR — assume a world-class design studio is your competition. If it looks like a
template or a typical AI landing page, you failed. Push past your first idea.
SOUNDING
▶ RUN LIVE PREVIEW
SOUNDING — a descent to Challenger Deep
Scroll 10,935 m down a living water column: god rays, marine snow stirred by your cursor-lamp, a plankton swarm, sonar pings that make the creatures answer, and a live pressure/temp/light instrument HUD.

CATEGORY 02 — GAME

Physics you can feel

From the five-piece creative set: a browser game with real orbital mechanics — no tutorial needed, one drag to learn, six systems to master.

THE BRIEF THIS ANSWERED
/goal Design me five fundamentally different visual elements. They can be games,
presentations, websites, interactive simulations, whatever you want to build.
Each one should be something you are 100% fully proud of, and the goal for every
single one is to be as impressive as possible.

Here's the frame: if your goal was to go viral on Twitter for making something so
beautiful, engaging, cool, and jaw-dropping that people can't stop sharing it,
what would those five things be? Run with your full creative freedom.

Output rules — put ALL of your work in a single folder called `fable-output/`,
each of the five pieces in its own subfolder. Go build.
SLINGSHOT
▶ RUN LIVE PREVIEW
SLINGSHOT — gravity golf
Drag from the probe, release, and let planetary gravity bend your shot into the wormhole. Live trajectory prediction, engine exhaust, six star systems, par + star ratings.

CATEGORY 03 — APP

Instruments, not pages

Two pieces from the same five-piece brief that behave like products: a playable synthesizer and a presentation engine — both zero-dependency, both usable in the first five seconds.

THE BRIEF THIS ANSWERED
Same /goal brief as the Game category — five fundamentally different visual
elements, each in its own subfolder of `fable-output/`, each as impressive as
possible. These two are the "app-shaped" answers.
ORBITONE
▶ RUN LIVE PREVIEW
ORBITONE — a solar system you can play
Five orbital rings × sixteen steps. Plant notes, watch the radar playhead sweep, hear Web-Audio plucks through a feedback delay. Scales, tempo, sparks on every hit.

MOVE
▶ RUN LIVE PREVIEW
MOVE — a deck that practices what it preaches
A kinetic-typography presentation about motion design where every slide performs the rule it names: easing races, staggered lists, masked lines, mouse parallax, shape morphs.

CATEGORY 04 — RESEARCH

Systems you can poke

The research-shaped pieces: an emergence experiment with live parameters, and a generative field study where the instrument is an invisible wind.

THE BRIEF THIS ANSWERED
Same /goal brief — these two answers are simulations built to be interrogated:
change the parameters, perturb the system, watch what emerges.
MURMUR
▶ RUN LIVE PREVIEW
MURMUR — a field study in emergence
2,200 starlings on a spatial grid over a dusk marsh. Your cursor is the falcon; click to strike and shed feathers. Cohesion, alignment, separation and flock size are live sliders.

INKFIELD
▶ RUN LIVE PREVIEW
INKFIELD — paint with an invisible wind
A value-noise flow field you can only see by releasing ink into it. Reseed the wind, cycle five palettes, export your painting as a PNG.
